Criteria for inclusion in the Lists
Criteria for inclusion in the following Contractors Lists for Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ Renovation, Maintenance and Improvement Works:
- General Building Works Contractors
- Building Services Installation Contractors
- Specialist Contractors
- Minor Works Contractors
- Cleansing Contractors
- Landscaping Contractors
Basic Requirements
For 1. General Building Works Contractors, 2. Building Services Installation Contractors and 3. Specialist Contractors:
- To have at least five years’ experience in building works, building services installation works, specialist works of appropriate trade;
- The total value of works carried out by the applicant in the past three years should not be less than HK$2M per year;
- Applicant shall have completed, as main contractor, building services installation contractors or specialist contractors for maintenance/ improvement projects within the past three years preferably for Housing Department, other government departments or recognized NGO. Two of those completed projects stated above shall cost not less than HK$500,000;
- To possess a proper workshop/ shop/ office of reasonable size; and
- Applicant currently on List of B.D. Registered G.B.C., or Registered M.W.C., or List of Approved Contractors for Public Works (Buildings), or List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works or list of contractors held by recognized NGO.
4. Minor Works Contractors:
- To have at least five years’ experience in minor repair and maintenance of buildings;
- Applicant must be capable to carry out our minor works preferably Class II & Class III works;
- The total value of works carried out by the applicant in the past three years shall not be less than HK$0.8 million per annum;
- Applicant shall have carried out maintenance/ repair works for Hong Kong Housing Society, government departments, developers, building managers or Incorporated Owners in the past three years;
- Appropriate organization structure and resources;
- Sound financial status;
- Good relevant past experience and/or job reference; and
- Applicant has taken measures to improve its environmental performance in daily operation.
5. Cleansing Contractors:
- To have at least five years’ experience in the provision of cleaning services to residential and commercial premises;
- The value of cleaning service provided by the applicant in the past three years shall not be less than HK$0.6 million per annum;
- Applicant shall have provided cleaning services to the Hong Kong Housing Society, government departments, developers, building managers or Incorporated Owners in the past three years;
- Appropriate organization structure and resources;
- Sound financial status;
- Good relevant past experience and/or job reference; and
- Applicant has taken measures to improve its environmental performance in daily operation.
6. Landscaping Contractors:
- To have at least five years’ experience in the provision of landscaping / tree pruning services to residential and commercial premises;
- The value of landscaping / tree pruning services provided by the applicant in the past three years shall not be less than HK$0.4 million per annum;
- Applicant shall have provided landscaping / tree pruning services to the Hong Kong Housing Society, government departments, developers, building managers or Incorporated Owners in the past three years;
- Appropriate organization structure and resources;
- Sound financial status;
- Good relevant past experience and/or job reference; and
- Applicant has taken measures to improve its environmental performance in daily operation.

Please register with the Property Division of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (Enquiries: Tel no. 28597763 or 28597766, Fax No. 25485710) and obtain the relevant “Company Information Proforma” which should be completed and returned together with your company details including company brochures, annual audit report and job reference of the past 3 years to the Head of Property Division at 8/F., Wong Fung Ling Memorial Building, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, 12 Po Yan Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. The Group is not bound to accept any applications that it may receive.
