医疗衞生服务 MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES 46 “National Traditional Chinese Medicine Master LIU Minru – 70 Years of Studying and Experience in Gynaecology and Obstetrics Webinar” was organised by the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and co-organised by TWGHs on 4 May 2022. It aimed to promulgate Master LIU Minru’s academic thoughts and clinical experience and the development of gynaecology and obstetrics. Mr. MA Ching Yeung, Philip, the Chairman, Mr. SU Yau On, Albert, Chief Executive, and representatives from the Medical Division attended the webinar in support of the Event. Master LIU Minru ’s disciple, Ms. Janet TANG, a Chinese medicine practitioner of TWGHs, presented clinical cases at the webinar. TWGHs organised a series of thematic talks on Chinese Medicine from October to December 2022 for the Group’s Chinese medicine practitioners (CMPs). Proactive geriatrician assessment was offered to all geriatric fragility fracture patients to optimise chronic disease management and prevent post-operative complications, and focus was put on fall assessment and bone health. Through the multidisciplinary approach, the Programme facilitated rehabilitation progress and discharge planning. The service provided by the Physiotherapy Department was extended to weekends and public holidays to enhance rehabilitation outcome. From 1 April to 30 September 2022, a total of 106 new cases had been managed by geriatricians, of which 78.3% of the cases were related to hip fracture. A total of 943 attendances had been handled by the Physiotherapy Department.
