教育服务 EDUCATION SERVICES 65 The Education Division’s representative leveraged his teaching experience to explain the teaching career and promotion pathways to middle-level teachers on 5 November 2022. The participants asked questions actively and the Head of Education Division answered in detail. The teachers benefitted a lot from the sharing session. On 9 April 2022, the Education Division held an online seminar on the professional development of the vice-principals of 18 TWGHs secondary schools with the theme of “Exploring the Role of Vice-Principal”. Firstly, a sharing session on professional growth was conducted by the viceprincipals of TWGHs Kwok Yat Wai College and TWGHs Lee Ching Dea Memorial College. After that, the Division’s representative led the participants in exploring the transformation of the vice-principal’s function in the new education landscape. A total of 415 participants, including principals, vice-principals and newly recruited school staff such as teaching and non-teaching staff, laboratory technicians, social workers and janitors joined the Programme. Head of TWGHs Education Division, Senior Education Officers and Education Services Manager (School Relations) introduced the latest development, features and teaching force of the TWGHs Education Division, National Security Education and educational psychology service to the participants, familiarising the newly recruited staff with the culture and structure of the TWGHs Education Division. 本院教育科于2022 年9 月24 日在东华三院 黄笏南中学为新聘任的学校员工举行迎新活动， 共有415 人参加，包括校长、副校长∕主任及新 聘任学校员工，例如教员、非教学人员、实验室 技术员、社工及职工等。本院教育科主管、各高 级教育主任及教育服务经理( 学校关系联系) 分 别向参加者简述教育科的最新发展重点、办学特 色、教师团队建设、国家安全教育及教育心理服 务等，让新入职员工对东华三院教育科有更深入 的认识。 学校迎新活动 Induction Programme for Newly Recruited School Staff 建立专业而创新的教育团队 Building a Professional and Innovative Teaching Force With a long-standing tradition, the TWGHs Joint Primary Schools Chorus and the TWGHs Joint Primary Schools String Orchestra were established to offer opportunities to develop music talent, a sense of belonging, self-confidence and team spirit among TWGHs primary students through music learning and sharing. In the academic year 2022/2023, the TWGHs Joint Primary Schools Chorus and the TWGHs Joint Primary Schools String Orchestra won 12 awards in 3 renowned local music competitions, namely the 2nd Hong Kong Children and Youth Music Competition, the 6th Hong Kong Youth Cup International Music Contest and the Hong Kong Music Talent Award.
