社会服务 COMMUNITY SERVICES 79 The scourge of drug addiction cannot be underestimated. It is critical to raise the awareness among the youth of the harmful effects of drugs. TWGHs was selected as the NGO partner of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre (HKJC DIC) through competitive bidding to provide services including venue management, promotion, organising anti-drug programmes and guided tours and more from 14 November 2022 to 13 November 2024. To enhance anti-drug education campaign, the Group aimed to promote anti-drug messages and the development of positive lifestyle and healthy hobbies, and to equip parents with the techniques to strengthen the ability of their children to stay away from drugs. The Opening Ceremony of the revamped HKJC DIC was held on 28 November 2022, with the Hon. In response to the Government’s promotion of applying gerontech and innovation to enhance service quality, TWGHs Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex implemented the “Smart Go Around” Smart Transportation Robot Project with the Innovation and Technology Fund for Application in Elderly and Rehabilitation Care (Trial Use of Newly Developed Technology Product). The Project not only reduced human contact for better infection control, but also achieved cost-effectiveness by cutting manpower needs. The derivative works were minted as NFT for charity sales, while an exhibition was organised at KOLOUR Tsuen Wan in 2022 summer for more members of the public to appreciate in person the artworks made by artists with different abilities.
