To promote Chinese traditional culture and inspire cultural creativity among the general public, TWGHs MM² cum TWGHs Ginny MAN Chinese Cultural and Creativity Exhibition and Multi-purpose Hall organised the “TWGHs Ginny Man Chinese Cultural & Creativity Prize 2022”. With the theme of “cups featuring traditional Chinese culture”, the contestants from different sectors were encouraged to unleash their creativity and present various designs with a brilliant blend of the traditional cultures and our daily life. The panel had 6 judges, namely, Mr. MA Ching Yeung, Philip, the Chairman cum Panel Chairman, Ms. Ginny MAN, BBS, Chairman 2020/2021 cum the Prize’s namesake, Mr. SU Yau On, Albert, Chief Executive, Dr. TANG Ka Jau, Billy, the Commissioner of the Society of Hong Kong History, Mr. WONG Ting Fung, Trophy Designer of the Contest and Artist, and Mr. LAM DUEN Shan Ming, Designer of TWGHs Porcelainware - 150th Anniversary Special Edition and Artistic Coordinator of Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre. Ten of the entries were shortlisted by the 6-member panel for the final Contest. During the 3-year contract term, the Group will provide approximately 173 times of ash scattering services and memorial sail services for 3,725 families. 为推广环保殡葬，本院再次成功承投食物环境衞 生署的免费「海上撒灰渡轮服务」。服务合约为 期3 年，将提供约173 次海上撒灰服务及海上追 思活动，预计可服务3,725 个家庭。 东华三院成功续办食环署 「海上撒灰渡轮服务」 Renewal of TWGHs "Ferry Services for Scattering Human Ashes at Sea" of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department To enhance the overall accuracy, efficiency and security of the mortuary operations, the RFID Mortuary Information System and the Alarm System were installed in the mortuaries of the Parlours. The systems were launched in October 2022 for TWGHs International Funeral Parlour and TWGHs Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour, and in November 2022 for TWGHs Global Funeral Parlour, respectively. 为提升殓房服务的准确性、效率及安全性， 东华三院属下万国、钻石山及寰宇殡仪馆已在 馆内安装RFID无线射频殓房资讯管理系统及 警报系统。有关系统已分别于2022 年10 月在 东华三院万国殡仪馆和东华三院钻石山殡仪馆及 于2022年11月在东华三院寰宇殡仪馆正式启用。 东华三院属下万国、钻石山及寰宇殡仪 馆RFID殓房资讯管理系统 RFID Mortuary Information System for TWGHs International Funeral Parlour, Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and Global Funeral Parlour As of February 2023, TWGHs provided 495 cases of free funeral services, in which basic funeral services were offered to families with financial difficulties, including 5 TWGHs concerned cases.
