TWGHs Celebratory Event Highlights
To celebrate the 145th Anniversary, TWGHs will roll out a series of fabulous celebratory events throughout the year. These include:

2. “Tales of the Distant Past:The Story of Hong Kong and the Chinese Diaspora(A tribute from the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals of Hong Kong)”ExhibitionDate: October 2015 to October 2016 Venue: Chinese American Museum (CAM), Los Angeles, USA Info: The exhibition features the role of TWGHs in serving the overseas Chinese. |

3. Launch of Tung Wah Museum Archives WebsiteDate: October 2015 Info: A website of the database of the archives of Tung Wah Museum and selected collections including Tung Wah Coffin Home. |

4. The Autumn Sacrificial Rites and Parade of Man Ti and Mo Ti StatuesDate: 1 November 2015 Venue: Sheung Wan Info: The event included the Parade of Man Ti and Mo Ti Statues and street parties in the Tai Pan Shan district. |

5. Experience Sharing by Prof. LIU Minru and Gynaecological Seminar cum Professor Emeritus Conferment CeremonyDate: 24 January 2016 Info: The event invited both Chinese and Western medicine practitioners to attend to showcase the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Services of TWGHs while Professor LIU Min Ru will share her rich medical experiences. Professor LIU was also conferred an honorary professorship by the School of Chinese Medicine of the University of Hong Kong in recognition of her outstanding achievements and signification contributions to the field of Chinese medicine. |

6. TWGHs iRun-Hong Kong Jockey Club Special Marathon 2016Date: 31 January 2016 Venue: Tamer Park Info: This was the largest ever sports event for promoting social inclusion. The event created a new Guinness Record. |

Tung Wah Charity Carnival Charity DayDate: 4 March 2016 Venue: Former Kai Tak Airport Runway Info: Shun Tak Holdings Limited presents: Tung Wah Charity Carnival Charity Day combines the elements of entertainment and charity. Part of the total income of the event will go to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in support of its services for children, youth and low income families. Enjoy awesome games with fun while offering support to make a difference. |

TWGHs X CRHK: “Tung Wah Embraces Charity” Programme Preview
In addition, TWGHs has partnered with CRHK to roll out a series of programmes on the theme of “Tung Wah Embraces Charity”, with the slogan “Keeping Benevolence Alive for 145 Years”, inviting members of the public to join and celebrate the 145th Anniversary together.
1. TWGHs Signature Services Promotion Trailer (万大善事有东华)Date: May to November 2015 Info: Videos of different themes will be broadcast each month in order to enhance public understanding of TWGHs diversified services. Themes include wedding preparation, special education, funeral and burial services etc. Famous artists will participate in the videos. |

2. TWGHs Special Occupation Recruitment (东华创奇职)Date: June to November 2015 Info: To recruit the youth to work at TWGHs different service units for a day so as to introduce services of TWGHs less known by the members of the public. |

3. GoBuy Tung Wah Flag, GoCreate Design Competition (GoBuy 东华旗想创作大赛)
Date: 26 August to 2 September 2015 Info: To invite the public to create a design on a theme “Celebrating the 145th Anniversary of TWGHs” for the chance to win a limited edition stylish tote bag designed and signed by Plastic Thing, a well-known illustrator. |

4. TWGHs Sing with a Star Competition (东华卡拉接星Sing)
Date: October to November 2015 Info: To invite the public to submit their singing footages and solicit donation for TWGHs. |

5. TWGHs since 1870 Radio Programmes (刻骨铭心东华情)
Date: November to early December 2015 Info: To invite a number of heavyweighted guests to talk about Hong Kong’s past and present in order to highlight the history of TWGHs in the radio programmes. |
