The Headquarters of the Group will undergo a comprehensive process of “turning green”, including accomplishing initiatives such as the ISO 14001 accreditation, environmental management system, energy-cum-carbon audit, greenhouse-gas reduction, indoor air quality improvement, energy-saving installations (such as retrofit energy-efficient lighting, LED exit signs, motion sensors, solar films etc.) and construction of green roof. The Headquarters will also oversee the implementation of the green projects and coordinate the benchmarking of environmental performance for all services centres of the Group.
Considerable amount of effort and resources to prepare for launching the plan of “Moving Towards a Green Organization” has been put. Schemes for publicity under consideration include organizing cross-divisional green activities, cultivating green awareness among students through seminars and workshops, conveying the message of green benefits and better services through partnership with the media, and communicating with the public through web pages, leaflets, souvenirs and other deliverables.
