Tung Wah Board allocates HK$ 3 Million to help Taiwan flood disaster relief work

The Tung Wah Board has allocated HK$ 3 Million (roughly equivalent to $12 Million Taiwan Dollar) to support the Taiwan relief work for its flood disaster brought by a typhoon, which struck Taiwan and left its central and southern parts in devastation from 7 to 9 August. The donation cheque was presented to the Chung Hwa Travel Service Hong Kong during a courtesy visit by the Board of Tung Wah today.

A cheque for HK$ 3 Million was presented by Dr. John LEE, Chairman (left 2), and Mrs. Viola CHAN, 3rd Vice-Chairman of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, to the Chung Hua Travel Service Hong Kong, represented by Mr. Jaff YANG, Managing Director. The donation amount will immediately be wired to the Taiwan bureaux in charge of the relief work.
