Psychological Services Officer

Location: Sha Tin

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating the school-based and community-based training program, including administration, financial management, liaison with the participating schools and collaboration with other parties;
  • provide group trainings/individual coaching sessions for students with Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder and/or Autism, parent support, teacher consultation, case intervention and community education, etc.;
  • monitor and record the progress throughout the project and write up reports;
  • collect feedback from stakeholders, plan and implement data collection and conduct analysis; and
  • design and prepare materials for training groups/programs, including the design and write up of the training plans for students, training activities for parents and etc.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a recognized degree in social science field, preferably in psychology;
  • at least 2 years’ experience in providing support service for students with special educational needs in school or community setting;
  • good command of Chinese and English; and
  • good computer literacy.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $25,115 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 9). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience.  The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.  The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
