Assistant Audit Manager

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Execute and monitor audit programs and schedules in accordance with pre-defined audit scope and objectives;
  • provide advice and guidance to subordinates;
  • undertake audit sampling with professional judgements;
  • review the adequacy of existing control environment with recommendations on improvement for internal control system; and
  • consolidate audit findings and compile reports for audit exercises with aims to enhance overall operational effectiveness and efficiency in Tung Wah.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a recognized degree in Accountancy or equivalent;
  • a pass in the professional examinations of one of the following professional bodies or its equivalent;
    (a) HKICPA Professional Programme Modules A to D; or
    (b) ACCA Examination Fundamental Stage; or
    (c) Institute of Internal Auditors Examination Part 1 to 3;
  • preferably internal audit experience;
  • good command of Chinese and English; and
  • able to work independently and proactively.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
