Senior Human Resources Manager

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Plan and maximize manpower resources utilization and formulate corporate Human Resources (HR) strategies pertaining to recruitment, appointment, payroll, provident fund, work injury and leave administration, development of HR information systems as well as staff training & development;
  • formulate and review the existing personnel practice, staff training & development policies and strategic initiatives, including remuneration and benefits administration, grading and salary as well as planning of training & development programmes;
  • facilitate the setup, development and implementation of a training base for the organization, as well as plan, direct and coordinate staff training programmes and exchange programmes to cultivate a continuous learning culture and a knowledge-based organization;
  • oversee and manage staff recruitment, administration of staff training applications/sponsorships as well as staff welfare benefits (such as dental treatment and merit awards), lead the planning of new initiatives, and enforce the prevailing policies/practices to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and rules/regulations;
  • develop information technology strategies/systems for driving digitalization of HR management; and
  • provide executive support to the consolidation of regular/annual exercises, supervise teams in daily office administration and operations and work on the ad hoc project as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a recognized degree or equivalent, preferably in human resources and training;
  • at least 6 years’ post qualification experience in public administration work and institutional development, preferably with knowledge on staff training and development; and experiences in event management and system development;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • high proficiency in written English and Chinese and spoken Putonghua.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbents will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
