Education Services Manager (Special Education)

Location : Sheung Wan
Roles & responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and develop the set-up of the new special schools and boarding section;
- plan and execute the advance opening in the vacant premises;
- coordinate overall building construction, alteration, renovation and procurement of furniture and equipments;
- coordinate administration matters such as school registration, establishment of the School Incorporated Management Committee (IMC), staff recruitment and curriculum design etc.;
- manage the budget, control and conduct regular review on financial activities to finance the top-up items and ensure full compliance of both TWGHs policies and Education Bureau’s guidelines;
- liaise and network with internal and external parties from time to time for facilitation of the Establishment Project;
- handle alteration and contingency planning in relations to the establishment project; and
- perform any duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably post-graduate degree in Business Administration/Education or post- graduate diploma in Education;
- at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
- at least 6 years’, preferably 8 years’ of post-qualification education administrative experience or related field;
- preferably experience in planning and project management;
- excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; and
- proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
