Dietitian

Location: Central & Western District
Roles & responsibilities:
- Provide dietetic advice and counselling services and coordinate the service network with the community dietitian engaged under the Central & Western District Health Centre services;
- develop and provide group education, training and health promotion that aim to enhance self-care and self-management skills;
- provide dietetic advice to general public and patients, and handle nutrition-related enquiries;
- organize cooking classes / workshops to promote healthy diet, and produce healthy menu and related health education materials; and
- perform any other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- a post-graduate diploma in dietetics or a bachelor of science degree in dietetics, inclusive of an internship or equivalent;
- enlisted in the Hong Kong Academy of Accredited Dietitians;
- at least Grade E or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent; and
- at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in patient care related practice in dietetic service.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $36,850 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 16). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience. The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
