Executive Director (District Health Centre)

Location: Central & Western District
Roles & responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and strategic development of the Central & Western District Health Centre (C&W DHC), including external liaison and collaboration for the Centre Services;
- plan, lead and coordinate the operations of the C&W DHC and report the progress to relevant governing bodies on a regular basis;
- lead the multi-disciplinary professional service team to implement Primary Healthcare Services and ensure the compliance of the Centre operation with Service Contract;
- maintain effective communication and collaboration with all community stakeholders and be the person-in-charge responsible for liaising with the Health Bureau; and
- perform any other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- a recognized degree or equivalent;
- at least 15 years of post-qualification experience in the public administration in the Government or public sector, medical, healthcare, community service operations or other similar fields as considered relevant with not less than 10 years in the supervisory level;
- demonstrated ability to plan, direct, organize and coordinate community healthcare operations;
- leadership skills including negotiation, problem solving, and relationship building with service providers, community groups and other related parties;
- good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; and
- the followings are preferred:
(a) a Master Degree/post-graduate diploma in healthcare related discipline, nursing specialty, management or equivalent; and
(b) extensive post-qualification/post-registration experience in managing territory-wide projects in the area of chronic disease management, health promotion & assessment, and community rehabilitation.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $82,330 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 34). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience. The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
