Assistant Human Resources Manager (Appointments Unit II)

Location : Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Provide executive support on human resources matters pertaining to staff recruitment, staff discipline and complaint issues, cessation of services and other matters related to personnel services for aided schools;
  • conduct research and review exercises of human resources policies and make recommendations on change of human resources policies to meet the corporate objectives and service/operational needs;
  • liaise with division/units and schools on the implementation of personnel administration system and procedures in compliance with the relevant government ordinance/ corporate human resources policies;
  • supervise subordinates and provide guidance/advice for handling of daily operation matters and enhancing the overall efficiency;
  • provide executive support to the office administrative matters and compile returns for regular/annual exercise; and
  • undertake ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably human resources management;
  • at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
  • at least 2 years of relevant working experiences;
  • well conversant with the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and related Ordinances, preferably with experiences in setting of school/education institution;
  • possession of supervisory experience would be an advantage;
  • proficiency in English and Chinese;
  • good communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • able to work independently with initiative and have strong sense of responsibility.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
