TWGHs "Good People, Good Deeds: English Writing Competition 2021-22" – Arrangement on the Panel Interview and Ceremony
TWGHs “Good People, Good Deeds: English Writing Competition” has been hosted since 2015. With objectives to provide students with the opportunity to pay tribute to those who live up to the ideals of our community and put into practice universal moral values including dignity, kindness, respect, impartiality and the spirit of humanity, and to provide young writers with a platform to explore the world of writing, we can infuse positive energy into society, thus fostering social cohesion and promoting care, mutual help and solidarity in the local community.
This year, we have received approximately 1,100 entries from around 140 primary schools and secondary schools in total. After thorough consideration by the Committee, top ten finalists have been selected from the Junior Level (Primary 4 – 6), Middle Level (Secondary 1 – 3) and Senior Level (Secondary 4 – 6) respectively. The teachers-in-charge of concerned schools are notified about the details of the interview by email, so as to prepare for the finalists’ attendance to the interview on 18th July (Monday). The adjudicating panel is comprised of representatives from the Education Bureau, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Education University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong.
The Award Presentation Ceremony will be held in September 2022. The top ten finalists will be invited to join the ceremony with their Principals/Headmasters, teachers and parents. The Group would make appropriate arrangements in response to the latest situation of the pandemic. Your support is much appreciated.
