• Tung Wah operates a total of 18 secondary schools, which together serve a student population of about 11,762.
• Secondary schooling represents an important stage in general education. It is an intermediary step between primary and tertiary education. While placing great emphasis on students’ learning so as to prepare them in meeting challenges in higher education, Tung Wah secondary schools also endeavour to promote students’ whole-person and multi-faceted intellectual growth and development.
• The aim of secondary education is to enable students to have a balanced and comprehensive learning experience. The curriculum in secondary schools covers a wide variety of subjects to meet the social demands as well as the interests and capability of students. Apart from the conventional arts, science and commercial subjects, some schools are offering Applied Learning courses for our senior secondary students, providing them with good preparation for further studies and for pursuing their careers.
• Our secondary schools have achieved above-average credit and passing rates in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination.
