The activity is expected to encourage students to learn and experience more about the economic society and culture of the motherland, as well as to cultivate their sense of national identity.

A kick-off ceremony cum training workshop was held on 26 June 2010 at The Chinese University of Hong Kong–Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Community College which attracted a large number of guests, teachers and students to participate.
