TWGHs Board of Directors 2020/2021 Took Office
Spreading 150 Years of Philanthropic Spirits and Joining Hands to Go Beyond for Charity
Since its establishment in 1870, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) has taken root in Hong Kong for one and a half centuries, relentlessly holding fast to its mission “To heal the sick and to relieve the distressed; to care for the elderly and to rehabilitate the disabled; to promote education and to nurture the youngsters; and to raise the infant and to guide the youth”. Striving to serve the community, TWGHs has kept pace with times to meet the needs of the society and carried on the long-lasting philanthropic torch. Today marked the official inauguration of the TWGHs Board of Directors 2020/2021, demonstrating the new Board of Directors’ commitment and dedication to leading TWGHs towards a brighter future.
The TWGHs Board of Directors 2020/2021 include Ms. Ginny MAN, the Chairman, Mr. TAM Chun Kwok, Kazaf, the 1st Vice-Chairman, Mr. MA Ching Yeung, Philip, the 2nd Vice-Chairman, Mr. WAI Ho Man, Herman, the 3rd Vice-Chairman, Ms. TANG Ming Wai, Mandy, the 4th Vice-Chairman, Mr. HO Yau Kai, Orlando, the 5th Vice-Chairman, as well as Mr. Derrick FUNG, Ms. YAN Zi, Mr. LEE Chak Hol, Michael, Mrs. CHEN YAO Li Ni, Lily, Mr. LIU Chun Fai, Kenneth, Mrs. MAK TANG Wai Man, Vivian, Mrs. NG CHENG Nga Yu, Emmi, Mrs. Natalie CHAN CHU, Dr. CHUANG Tze Cheung, Christopher, Ms. LEUNG Wai Yan, Iris, Ms. Renee HUNG, Mr. TSENG Hing Yip, York, Ms. CHOI Ka Yee, Crystal and Miss Annie KAO, the Directors.
This year marks the 150th Anniversary of TWGHs, under the leadership of the Board of Directors 2020/2021, TWGHs will continue to excel the quality and efficiency of its services, while expanding its service scopes, so as to provide appropriate support for the service users. In addition, embracing the spirit of the Anniversary slogan “For Charity, We Go Beyong”, TWGHs has planned a series of ingenious celebrations and charity initiatives, so that members of the public can join TWGHs for the grand occasion, while building a better and more harmonious society with the entire community.

Since its establishment in 1870, TWGHs has been all along upholding its mission “To heal the sick and to relieve the distressed; to care for the elderly and to rehabilitate the disabled; to promote education and to nurture the youngsters; and to raise the infant and to guide the youth.” Nowadays, TWGHs is the largest charitable organisation with the longest history in Hong Kong. For one and a half centuries, TWGHs has persistently pioneered and marked significant milestones in medical and health, education and community services, to fulfill the needs of the society and to provide the public with high quality services at low rates or for free. Today, TWGHs operates 343 services units, including 5 hospitals and 34 Chinese and Western medicine services units, 57 education services units, 225 community services units that cover elderly, youth and family, rehabilitation, social enterprises and social innovation services. The Tung Wah Museum and TWGHs Maisy Ho Archives and Relics Centre were also established to promote, restore and preserve the heritage and relics of TWGHs, with an aim to protect and preserve local traditional culture. In addition, TWGHs has provided 2 aspects of traditional services through 20 service units, including funeral and burial services as well as temple and ritualistic services fulfilling the aspirations of worshippers and the needs of the local community on funeral and burial services as well as the related facilities, while promoting traditional customs and preserving local culture at the same time.
