Panel Grand Prize in the Hong Kong Prestige Corporate
Brand Award 2011 – TWGHs

Tung Wah Groups of Hospitals received the Judging Panel Grand Prize (Charitable Organization Category) in the “Hong Kong Prestige Corporate Brand Award 2011” at the awards presentation ceremony held on 7 December 2011. This has become another major award won by TWGHs following its winning of the Consumers’ Choice Grand Prize of the “Hong Kong Prestige Corporate Brand Award” in both 2008 and 2010 .

All candidates were assessed by a panel of judges comprising representatives of universities and professional organizations on a set of judging criteria including “Brand Management Culture”, “Branding Strategy”, “Brand Communications”, “Intellectual Property Management”, “Corporate Social Responsibility” and “Corporate Performances and Achievements”. This year, TWGHs received the highest commendation in the category of Charitable Organization.

As the first charitable organization in Hong Kong, TWGHs has been keeping pace with the times and striving for excellence in the past 141 years. Nowadays, Tung Wah has become the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong providing the most diversified services in the medical and health, education and community welfare sectors h to fulfill the needs of Hong Kong people from the cradle and the grave. Mr. CHANG Juo Hwa, Charles, Chairman of TWGHs, hoped that the staff of TWGHs will inherit the “Tung Wah Spirit” to uphold its fine tradition of Tung Wah and continue to strive for enhancing the well-being of people in Hong Kong.

“Hong Kong Prestige Corporate Brand Award 2011” is jointly organized by Ming Pao Newspaper Limited and Master of Science Programme in Marketing, The Chinese University of Hong Kong to appreciate the devotion and innovation of local enterprises and organizations in promoting their brands and enhancing corporate social responsibility that help strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international hub for business.
