Administrative Assistant (Records and Heritage)

(REF: A3/AA(RH)/RHO/NET)

Location: Yau Ma Tei

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Perform general administration duties and provide secretarial support to the Head of Records and Heritage Office;
  • assist in planning and scheduling corporate events and meetings;
  • assist in researching and preparing necessary documents, correspondence and presentations;
  • handle departmental communication, reports, proposals and documents;
  • provide administrative support to project team and assist in organizing events; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • (a) Matriculation (passes in two Advanced Level subjects in HKALE and credits in three other HKCEE subjects) or equivalent; or
    (b) a recognized Associate Degree/Higher Diploma or above;
  • minimum 3 years’ administrative work experience, preferably in related field;
  • good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage;
  • good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • good knowlwdge in word processing and other office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
  • good coordination, planning and organizing skills.

Compensation & employment terms: 

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $26,590 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 10).  The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.  The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
