Board Relations Officer

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and provide logistic support for corporate events and local/overseas courtesy visits and pleasure tours, including sourcing for suppliers/vendors/service providers, selecting venues for the Board’s activities, drafting work schedules, preparing simple letters and notices, liaising with different parties such as secretaries of the Board Members and government officials as well as conducting research for the assigned topics;
  • liaise and maintain good relations with internal and external parties;
  • provide onsite support for corporate events, local/overseas courtesy calls and pleasure tours including running rehearsal, handling travel itineraries, making seating and photo arrangements; and
  • support general administration and handle ad hoc tasks as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a recognized degree or equivalent;
  • at least 3 years’ working experience preferably in event/marketing management;
  • good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
  • detail-oriented and good project planning ability;
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently; and
  • occasionally work irregular hours.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
