Deputy Head (Information Technology)

Roles & responsibilities:
- Advise and render supporting services to the management in determining Information Technology (IT) initiatives and strategies to enable them to execute their functions efficiently and effectively;
- develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, and establish appropriate control framework to ensure regulatory compliance to Group’s IT-related information and infrastructure;
- develop IT regulations, standards, norms, guidelines, best practices and procedure internally to ensure IT deliverables are in line with the growth of the Group;
- lead three functional sections in identifying priorities, manage IT projects, develop proposals and support IT related development activities to ensure that the deliverable of IT services is able to reach the pertained services level; and
- identify needs and demand of new technologies to provide rationalized and controllable IT architecture in order to align with the corporate objective in the use of IT.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- A recognized degree in IT or equivalent;
- at least 12 years of relevant post-qualification experience, of which 6 years in managerial capacity on computer environment with scale of over 1,000 users;
- knowledge and experience in SDLC as well as IT standard and best practice;
- good managerial and interpersonal skills;
- strong analytical skill and business sense; and
- preferably with a higher degree in IT or business related discipline.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
