Nurse Coordinator

Location: Chai Wan/Lam Tin/Tuen Mun

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Assist the Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operation and service delivery of Women Wellness Satellites (WWSs);
  • ensure the operations and management of the WWSs comply with the policies and guidelines of the Group and the project;
  • supervise the nursing and supporting staff of the WWSs;
  • undertake administrative works;
  • perform clinical and nursing duties, including taking cervical smear;
  • manage bookings, resources and case management;
  • provide training and clinical supervision on the nursing practice of WWSs;
  • ensure the frontline staff follow the protocols in service delivery;
  • implement quality improvement measures of WWSs;
  • organize promotion, health education and training programmes;
  • liaise with service providers for service provision, case referral and management;
  • communicate and collaborate with District Health Centres/Expresses and stakeholders for case referral and management as well as promotion of women health;
  • supervise the handling of examination reports;
  • lead the WWSs to meet the service target and key performance indicators;
  • prepare statistic reports of WWSs;
  • handle complaints;
  • required to perform shift duty and work in different locations; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a recognized degree in nursing/related discipline or above;
  • a Certificate of Registration (Part I or Part II) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
  • a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
  • at least 5 years of post-registration experience in healthcare, preferably in women health/administration and management of healthcare services of which 2 years of experience or experience proven by qualifications that are accepted by the Government for Pap smear taking upon assumption of duty; and
  • the followings are preferred:
    (a) Midwifery registration in Hong Kong or training in midwifery; or
    (b) a Master Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in nursing specialty or related discipline; or
    (c) recognized nursing specialty training in women’s health/Gynaecology/breast services.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $59,110 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 26).  Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience.  The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.  The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
