Senior Assistant Board and Committees Manager

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Plan the annual meeting and activity cycle of the Board of Directors and develop and coordinate events for the formation, inauguration and orientation of the Board;
  • provide high-quality secretariat service to the Board of Directors including preparation of agenda, papers, minutes, meeting notes and presentation materials;
  • maintain and review the necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound corporate governance of the Group;
  • facilitate the Board of Directors to fulfill its responsibilities in the Board of Governors and the College Council of Tung Wah College;
  • compile corporate reports, organization booklets and annual work plans of the Group, and prepare business correspondence on behalf of the Board and the Group; and
  • manage and guide subordinate staff to achieve the work plan and ensure the smooth running of the Board and Committees Section.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent;
  • at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
  • at least 6 years, preferably 8 years, post-qualification experience or equivalent;
  • demonstrable experience of successfully managing and servicing boards/committees;
  • relevant experience in higher educational institutions preferred; and
  • proficiency in English and Chinese.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
