Roles & responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services at the Women Wellness Satellites (WWSs) such as consultation, physical examination, requesting tests and investigations, prescribing medications, making referral, interpreting and explaining abnormal results;
  • provide health promotion and education as well as counselling services on women health;
  • assist in developing and reviewing the clinical protocols of the WWSs;
  • assist in conducting quality assurance and risk management for the WWSs;
  • liaise with collaborators of WWSs or healthcare providers to facilitate service delivery and provision of continuity of care to clients;
  • assist in undertaking administrative works;
  • undergo continuing medical education and professional development in women health related areas;
  • required to perform shift duty and work in different locations; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a qualification registrable in Hong Kong under Medical Registration Ordinance;
  • at least 3 aggregate years of clinical experience in the provision of services similar to or same as the WWSs’ services, or other similar fields considered relevant within the immediate 5 years;
  • enlisted in the Primary Care Directory; and
  • the followings are preferred:
    (a) Postgraduate medical qualification quotable by the Medical Council of Hong Kong; or
    (b) Postgraduate certificate or Fellowship in Gynaecology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $127,700 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 45) plus a monthly allowance currently at $30,852 and non-accountable cash allowance.  Entry salary and monthly allowance depend on years of recognized experience.  The salary and allowance are subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.  The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  A 15% contract discretionary payment (to be offset by the total amount of contributions made by Tung Wah under the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme) will be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract period.
