Kick-off Ceremony of the TWGHs Joint Primary School “Soccer Ambassador Programme” — Exchange Tour to Japan 2017
Dr. LEE Yuk Lun, JP, the Chairman cum Honorary Supervisor, and Mr. KWAN Pak Keong, Chief Curriculum Development Officer (Moral, Civic and National Education), Education Bureau, officiated at the Kick-off Ceremony of the TWGHs Joint Primary School “Soccer Ambassador Programme” – Exchange Tour to Japan 2017, held at TWGHs Sin Chu Wan Primary School on 18 October 2017, with Dr. LOUIE Hung Tak, Lobo, Professional Consultant, and Ms. CHAN Yuen Ting, BBS, Coach, being the guests. Thirty-five shortlisted soccer ambassadors will travel to Japan from 14 to 19 November 2017, visiting Osaka city and nearby areas for soccer training sessions and cultural exchange activities.
Running since the 2015/2016 school year, the Programme features elements of moral education, with an aim to nurture students’ positive values and behaviours, and to broaden their global perspective. With the sponsorship from the Quality Education Fund, the Programme yielded fruitful results last year; and in this year, it attracted a total of 111 student participants.
