TWGHs BOCHK Community Pharmacy O/B Tung Wah Group of Hospitals was operational in December 2023, with registered pharmacists providing dispensing and drug counseling services. The Community Pharmacy dispenses at affordable charges the self-financed drugs prescribed by the hospitals and clinics under Hospital Authority and clinics under Department of Health with the aim to relieve patients’ financial burden and strengthen their knowledge on drug use in order to achieve effective and safe drug usage.

- Drug safety : strengthen patients’ knowledge on drug safety and proper drug usage
- Patients’ disease management ability: enhance patients’ self-care awareness and disease management ability, thereby improving drug compliance

- Holder of valid Hong Kong Identity Card
- Patients of Hospital Authority or Department of Health
- With original valid prescription of self-financed drug issued by Hospital Authority or Department of Health

The Community Pharmacy will dispense the drug according to the administration instructions on the prescription, so kindly note the possible dispensing of loose tablets.
2. Patient Assistance Programs
With the generous donation from the Bank of China (Hong Kong), TWGHs Medical Centre (North Point) has implemented patient assistance programs on various common diseases in Hong Kong, including breast cancer, osteoporosis, sleep apnea and severe asthma, with the aim to provide subsidy to needy patients on diagnosis and treatment so that they will not delay or lose the opportunity of diagnosis and treatment due to financial difficulties. The programs also aim at arousing the public’s health awareness and promoting the concept of “early diagnosis, active treatment”, thereby creating a health community. The subsidy programs are listed below:

Applicants must have referral letter (applicable to Subsidy Program 1, 2, 3) or drug prescription (applicable to Subsidy Program 4) issued by Hospital Authority, meet the inclusion criteria of the respective programs and pass the financial assessment in order to be eligible for the subsidy.
