Promoting Resources Sharing with Sewing Machine, Tools and Toys Available to Borrow for Free

(Hong Kong, 4 July 2023) Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (hereinafter “TWGHs”), Sino Group (hereinafter “Sino”) and S.F. Express (Hong Kong) Limited (hereinafter “SFHK”) joint hand to promote sustainable development by launching a first-of-its-kind free self-serving borrowing and returning platform – “Jie Yeah” Locker. Sino provides prime mall spaces at Olympian City, SFHK provides SF Locker and one-year free logistics services through its “SF Retention Service” program including delivering borrowed items to “Jie Yeah” Locker and returning items from the Locker to “Jie Yeah” shop. TWGHs encourage the sharing of resources, skills and time through its “Jie Yeah” service and community network, with the aim of building a community that values and conserves resources.

“Since the launch of Library of Things services by Tung Wah ‘Jie Yeah’, it has been loved by residents of Tai Kok Tsui and supporters of sustainable development. This cooperation with Sino and SFHK is of great significance. It not only expands the coverage of ‘Jie Yeah’ services, but also demonstrates each party’s strengths in this well-established working model. We look forward to trigger more positive changes in the future and join hands in charitable deeds.” added Mr. SU Yau On, Albert, Chief Executive of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.

“SFHK is pleased to participate in the ‘Jie Yeah’ Locker program, providing people in the area with another option for borrowing and returning items. SFHK Lockers have always been closely related to daily life, and the convenient self-pick up service have become an irreplaceable role in logistics services. With the enhancement of SFHK Locker functions, it not only provides mailing services but also has charity donation functions. In the future, SFHK will continue to leverage its technological advantages to bring the benefits of ‘smart logistics’ deeper into the community, enabling the public to enjoy a more convenient and environmentally friendly life.” Ms. Charlize Liu, Head of Public Affairs and Communications at S.F. Express (Hong Kong) Limited said.

“Sustainability is integrated into the operations of Sino Group. While Olympian City plays a key role in serving the community in West Kowloon and Tai Kok Tsui, we are delighted to launch Hong Kong’s first self-service lending platform, ‘Jie Yeah’ Locker, at Olympian City. This platform helps reduce waste at source and promotes the concept of a circular economy in the community. We will continue our efforts in engaging the community and joining hands with our like-minded partners in Creating Better Lifescapes.” said Elaine Leung, Deputy General Manager (Leasing) of Sino Group.

Residents can register as “Jie Yeah” members and borrow items for free, such as electric drill, sewing machine, toys, telescope, camera, Ukulele, blender, mini-projector. SFHK will deliver the borrowed items to the Olympian City, and residents can pick them up after receiving a notification from TWGHs. When returning items, residents only need to clean the items themselves and return them through the mailing service at the “Jie Yeah” locker. TWGHs also invited “Kai Fong Masters” to help design and sew reusable packing, which meets SFHK safety standards, to reduce waste. Later, a series of sustainable development activities will be organized to raise environmental awareness.
