Roles & responsibilities:
- Lead the team to develop new fund-raising ideas and explore different and new channels and sources for raising funds to increase donation income and expand donor database to ensure divisional objectives are met;
- organize innovative and large scale fund-raising events with intensive coordination with different business partners; react effectively and promptly to ad-hoc fund-raising needs through organizing events and activities required by the Group to increase donation income in order to achieve corporate objectives;
- develop customized donation package and written proposals to target and potential individual major donors and corporate donors to increase the source of significant donation income and maintain strong relationship with big donors and corporations;
- design and implement mailing campaigns of medium scale to increase the donation income and widen the donor base for long term donor development;
- develop ideas and strategies to enhance public awareness and interest in participating different fund-raising events and activities to strengthen relationship with existing donors and expand potential donor base for future conduction of fund-raising activities/ functions;
- liaise and develop close working relationship with PR agencies, press and media, artist and celebrities in order to increase the media coverage and public awareness on fund-raising event and also facilitate future conduction of fund-raising programmes;
- cultivate partnership opportunities and work with corporate partners on fundraising events to strengthen corporate relationship and network for future organization of different fund-raising campaigns/ functions;
- build up close relationship with existing donors and explore and develop strong network with other potential donors to facilitate future conduction of fund-raising activities/ functions.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- a recognized degree or equivalent, preferably with an advanced degree;
- at least 6 years of management experience preferably in fund-raising event management and PR field;
- should possess knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Acquired knowledge on:
- Tung Wah services, benefits of equipment and facilities;
- Rise-sense and knowledge: fund-raising programme and reputation risks, cash handling and relationship risks;
- Knowledge on latest concepts and practices in fund-raising as well as government policies on fund-raising;
- Donation procedures, acknowledgement and signage;
- Entertainment business and circle;
- Marketing and direct mailing.
- People skills:
- Sociable, pleasant, good communicator and trustworthy
- Sensitivity to the perspectives of donors;
- Networking skills and aptitudes;
- Gaming skills;
- Willingness to work unsocial hours and in the entertainment environment
- Organizational skills:
- Events organization: planning, execution and attention to detail;
- Management of media;
- Management of multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Management of cash handling and donation boxes.
- Acquired knowledge on:
- proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
