Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Lead an appointment unit for delivery human resources support services to Administration Headquarters and the frontline services including manpower planning, pay review, recruitment and appointment as well as staff discipline and complaints;
  • oversee the corporate leave administration and the related IT systems including review and development of policies/systems and handling of daily operation matters for all types of leave;
  • manage the management information system with collection and collation of the manpower statistics for reporting at the management committee and long term planning in talent management;
  • assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies/systems to meet the corporate objectives and service/operational needs;
  • coordinate the office administration and internal staff development activities; and
  • supervise subordinates and provide executive support to other functions and tasks/projects.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably in human resources management;
  • at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
  • at least 4 years of post-qualification administrative experience, preferably in human resources management/public administration;
  • proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably Putonghua; and
  • good communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
